How to perform a soft reset in order to fix the battery problem

Do you experience problems with the battery on the Indicator 100?

If yes, this is probably due to a bug that is applicable to firmware 5.4.1 and earlier. Even if you have upgraded to later firmware, you could still experience issues like, battery is draining very quickly while doing measurements i.e. the battery capacity is suddenly 0% even if the Indicator has recently been fully charged. In order to redeem, you can perform a Soft restore to set the instruments’ battery back to the nominal value. Please perform the following steps:

  1. Update your Indicator 100 to the latest 5.4.6 fw (available on Serstech Partner pages)
  2. Turn on your indicator and immediately press continuously the down arrow (see photo) until you get a rebooting message on the indicators’ screen.
  3. Let the Indicator charge, turned on, at least for 5 hours. Important step!

Please do not forget the last step, which calibrates the software monitoring the battery charge status.
